This Thanksgiving the wife and I went to Kauai with three other couples for about five days. We all left on Thanksgiving morning, and we didn't end up eating until almost midnight due to the renting of the cars, shopping for the groceries, driving to the cabin, and the cooking of the food. Thankfully a member of our party had called a local grocery store there and set aside a turkey for us to pick up once we got into town. We had to rent jeeps because the cabin is out in the middle of nowhere with awfully bumpy/muddy dirt roads. The meal was amazing and we ate left overs for the rest of the time we were there. Each night one couple cooked up a feast for everyone else. We ate very well! We did a few hikes, one along the Na Pali Coast line for about a couple miles in. It was a very beautiful hike. We did some other sightseeing around the island but spent a lot of time in the cabin just relaxing, playing games, and completing a couple puzzles.
